Conservation Connection: Discover Nature Schools

(KPLR) - Wednesdays Conservation Connection dealt with Discover Nature Schools workshop for teachers.  Kevin McCarthy from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources was on the noon show with John Fuller to talk about the workshops being offered in conservation and getting people excited and to appreciate nature.

The workshops will go over curriculum for grades K-12 and will be offered in 5 locations:
Monday, June 18- Friday, June 22
August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area in St. Charles
Powder Valley Nature Center in Kirkwood
Columbia Bottom Conservation Area in Spanish Lake
Rockwoods Reservation in Wildwood
Pacific Palisades Conservation Area in Pacific for a float trip on the Meramec River

The workshops are free and include materials for all of the classes.  To sign up, just call 636-300-1953, extension 4120.  The workshops have limited space, so call as soon as possible to register.
