NORTH ST. LOUIS, MO. (KPLR) - Stray Rescue of St. Louis took these pictures of the dead dogs when they removed the bodies from the vacant home on Wells Avenue.  The organization offered a $10,000 dollar reward in the case.  Monday night, police arrested a 31 year old Darick Stallworth, on three counts of felony animal abuse and two counts of misdemeanor counts of animal neglect.  Stallworth lives in the neighborhood; but people who phoned in tips to Stray Rescue said he is known on the streets as "Scarface" and has a history of animal abuse.

Stray Rescue said it found chains and electrical cords in the building.  They said one of the dogs had been choked, another burned and other dogs mutilated.  Investigators have not released a motive for the killings.
