SANFORD, FL. (CNN) - New evidence released in the Trayvon Martin case, seem to back George Zimmerman’s claims in the Trayvon Martin shooting, but the question remains who started the fight.

They include Zimmerman’s medical records that prove he took a beating, with bloody lacerations on his head, grass stains on his back, a broken nose and more than one witness claims to have seen martin on top of Zimmerman throwing punches.

But what isn't clear is who initiated the altercation.

A witness statement from martin's girlfriend said she was talking to martin on his cell phone moments before he died.

She told investigators the teen sounded scared.
