Caught On Camera: Police Pull Up On Town And Country Assault

TOWN AND COUNTRY, MO (KPLR)-It is dramatic police video from Town and Country, MO. A woman is attacked at the Willowbend Apartments and officers are there in 53 seconds. The patrol car`s camera shows what happened next.

As the police car pulls up, a woman is seen being assaulted and screaming for help. Now as she is waving her hands, the suspect makes a run for it, a spotlight focusing on his escape.

Police say the woman screamed loudly and her calls for help were heard by a St. Louis County Police dispatcher who lives nearby. He quickly called 9-1-1.  A patrol car was in the area and the officer was on the scene in 53 seconds. This young mother lives in the complex and asked not to be identified.

The suspect is in jail on several charges and could be facing even more. The victim was not injured. She`s in the process of moving out of state where she got a new job. But she promises to return to St. Louis to testify in the case if needed.
