U.S. Ranks 25th Country as Best Place for Mothers in Save the Children Foundation Rankings

St. Louis, MO (KPLR) The Save the Children Foundation ranked the U.S. as the 25th best country in the world to be a mother. The United States improved over last year, where it ranked 31st in the State of the Worlds Mothers Report. Norway ranked number one, and Niger came in last place. The data analyzes health, education and economic conditions for mothers and children in 165 countries. The study found a woman in the U.S. is more than seven times as likely to die of a pregnancy related cause in her lifetime than a woman in Italy or Ireland.
