911 Call Following Junior Seau Suicide Released

SAN DIEGO (KSWB)-The 911 call placed by Junior Seau’s girlfriend moments after the former NFL star shot himself in the chest Wednesday morning has been released.  The girlfriend is so upset during the call she can hardly speak.

Seau was a star at the University of Southern California before playing for his hometown San Diego Chargers for 13 seasons. He also played with the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots before retiring in 2009.

The San Diego County Coroner has ruled the death a suicide. Not suicide note was found. Seau’s family will donate his brain for research into football-related head injuries.
