ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)-- Another incredibly busy week is shaping up for downtown St. Louis, and there is one very big curve ball for baseball, hockey, and music fans with big plans.

And that curve ball is right here behind me.  Highway 40 is closed from Broadway all the way out to 21st Street as one of the craziest weeks in recent memory is set for downtown.

Three Cardinal games would have made things busy enough, but then you add the Blues second round playoff game Saturday night, and even a big Van Halen concert.  And we're leaving a lot of other stuff out.  Folks we spoke to are excited for a fun weekend, and not terribly phased by the possible traffic headaches.

A lot of people are leaning toward the Metrolink this weekend, and for good reason.  Highway 40 will be closed westbound all weekend long from Broadway out to 21st Street until Monday.  They will have a single lane open to help get traffic into the Cardinals games and the Blues game, but for the most part, it looks like that part of this fun weekend will be a little bit of a headache.
