(KPLR) - I don't know how happy you are.  I'm usually pretty happy but I don't feel the need to put little smiley faces into my email.  I'm not that kind of happy.

Major League Baseball pitcher Jamie Moyer looked happy after becoming the oldest player to win a game at age 49.

But a new study out of Yale suggests happiness is like food, too much of it can be a bad thing. So you shouldn't stress out if you're not happy today.

I'm sure there are some of you who really are happy all the time.  That's just not me.  So don't feel bad if you don't feel like smiling all the time.

This latest research suggests it's better to be grumpy once in a while.  It turns out being honest about how you feel is more important than pretending to be happy.

So here's to being happy some of the time.
