(KPLR) – There’s no more ‘buggin’ out at Starbucks.  The coffee chain will stop using crushed beetles to color some of its sweet drinks because of pressure from activist groups.

Starbucks says it’s phasing out the use of cochineal bugs as food coloring in its product, including strawberry banana smoothie, raspberry swirl cake and birthday cake pops. The change will take place by the end of June.
