ST. LOUIS, MO. (KPLR) - Well you can add another light bulb into the equation. Starting on Sunday a new LED light bulb hits store shelves.
It's supposed to last longer, burn less energy, but of course the bulb itself costs more.
Some people are hot under the collar about the lights going out on some bulbs. Some incandescent bulbs will be banned in couple of years.
Many of those bulbs were made in the US. Many newer bulbs are made overseas.
All I want is a light bulb that works; one that shines enough light in my living room so I can read my book without straining my eyes.
Don't be fooled by the number of watts on the label.
I'm told the trick is to look for the number of lumens a light bulb emits. That should tell you whether it will shine enough for you.
So good luck finding the right light bulb for you.
I'm JB and that's The Way It Oughta Be.
