Man Shot in Troy, Mo After Shooting at Officers

TROY, MO (KTVI) – The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Lincoln County. It happened around 2 a.m. at a home on Camelot Drive in Troy. Troy Police and Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the home where a 30 year old man armed with a shot gun threatened to kill himself.

When deputies arrived on the scene, the man pointed the gun at them and fired a shot after he was ordered to drop the weapon. An officer returned fire, hitting the man. A deputy is recovering from a non-life threatening injury.

The man is hospitalized and is expected to survive.
