(CNN) - Swans in Chicago caused one mans death when they attacked a worker.  Thirty-seven year old Anthony Hensley worked for a company that deploys swans to keep geese away from ponds near housing and business complexes.

He was in a kayak on Saturday checking on the swans, when he fell into the water and could not get out.

Witnesses say the swans attacked him after he fell into the water.  Swans are known to be very aggressive during breeding season.
