(KPLR) - I've been told the woods will do in a pinch when there's no restroom nearby. But the fact of the matter is you can end up on the sex offenders list. Public exposure can be considered a sex crime.
Once on that list it's probably not very easy to get a job.
I've also talked with an 18 year old who is on the list because he was dating a 17 year old. Because she's a minor he ended up on the list.
Those are some of the reasons Missouri is looking to change the way it compiles a sex offender list allowing some of the more minor offenders to remove their names from the list.
That makes sense.
But the proposed changes also allow more serious offenders to eventually work their way off the list.
And I'm sorry but I don't think that makes sense.
Too many offenders are repeat offenders. So I want to know where they live. Even if it's 25 years after their crime.
