Alligator Round-Up Under Way In Southeastern Missouri

(KTVI) – Kennett, Missouri police are trying to get ahead of an expected alligator invasion.  Two years ago a man showed up in Kennett, Mo. selling reptiles.  Before police could stop the man from selling illegal reptiles, they estimate that he had sold 50 alligators to residents in the tiny bootheel community.

Now officials are worried that alligators are getting too big for the owners to handle and may start setting them loose into the wild.
