St. Louis Metro-Transit Fare Increase

St. Louis, MO (KPLR) – The St. Louis Metro public transit system is holding meetings in April about their upcoming rate increase.  Thje fares are going up because of increasing demand and rising operating costs.

These planned increases are part of the long-range transit plan. The plan calls for raising fares by a small percentage every two years.

You can call 314-335-3433 or email and let them know what you think of the fare increases.  They will be accepting comments until Friday, April 27, 2012.  The fare increase takes effect in July 2012.
