This weeks conservation connection with Dan Zarlenga of the Missouri Department of Conservation, deals with getting connected back to nature in an era of electronic games, computers, and cell phones.  People in general, and children especially, are becoming more and more disconnected with nature.  And there might be more at stake than we realize.

Dan Zarlenga from the Conservation Department joins us today to talk about an event coming this weekend that will offer ideas to get kids outside again.

The 'No Child Left Inside' Conference this Saturday from 9am to 4pm at the J.C. Penny Conference Center on the UMSL Campus; it’s put on by the Gateway Children’s Nature Connection; a coalition of St. Louis area organizations with the mission of reconnecting kids with nature, which includes MDC.

For more information, call UMSL Continuing Education at 314-516-7250.  The cost is $39 that includes a box lunch.
