If you failed to pay a ticket then the money will be reduced from your tax refund.  It's a way for the state to collect from deadbeat drivers.

Several Illinois communities participate including Collinsville.

Sounds like a great idea.  In fact I like it so much why not do the same for dead beat dads.

Reduce the refund and send it to the person entitled to it.

The whole idea was a way for cash strapped Illinois to recoup some of its losses.

It just goes to show if there's a will there's a way.
