Santorum Sweeps Southern Primaries, Romney Finishes In Third Place

Rick Santorum swept the southern primaries in Alabama and Mississippi Tuesday night, where polling before the election, showed Mitt Romney to win by narrow margins.  The lost in both primaries, allowed former Senator Rick Santorum to lay claim to the conservative vote and that race for the GOP Presidential nomination is a two man race.

Newt Gingrich finished in second place in both primaries, vowing to still push onto the Tampa convention.

Next up for the candidates is the Missouri Caucus, Puerto Rico Primary and the delegate rich Illinois Primary on March 20th.
