WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO (KTVI)-- A fourth student was airlifted to St. Louis Children's Hospital after a school bus went off the road and flipped on its side in Washington County.
The accident happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday on Highway C near Belgrade, MO.
Authorities said four students were airlifted to a hospital and eight were taken by ground.
A 13-year-old girl and two boys, ages 8 and 13 were all taken to Children's Hospital. A fourth student was later airlifted to Children's Hospital. Emily Moses, 7, hit her head during the crash, and as a result had some bleeding on the brain. All four students are in satisfactory condition.
The students taken by ground are all listed with minor injuries.
Parents say unruly kids might have distracted the driver.
The bus is with the Valley R-6 School District. There were 15-20 students on the bus.
