A popular comic strip… is being held from the pages of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The paper decided not to publish this weeks “Doonesbury” comic strip after the writer took on a Texas law requiring woman to get an ultrasound before having an abortion.
The comic features a woman visiting an abortion clinic and includes graphic language.
The paper informed readers in its editors desk column, saying the images were unsuitable for a section popular with kids.
They put the comic on line for people to view instead and ran an replacement comic this week.
Several other papers chose not to publish the comic as well.
