This might be the Muny`s 94th season, but its Isaacson`s first as executive producer.  He`s taking the reins from Paul Blake who retired after 22 years. Isaacson, who has lived in St. Louis since 1982, is only the third executive producer in its history.

“If there’s anything that gets overwhelming is that everybody loves the Muny it’s a responsibility.” said Mike Isaacson.

That`s why he`s going big with his broadway musicals, adding Tony winner Leslie Uggams, Grammy winner Jennifer Holliday and former American Idol contestant Justin Guarini.
Not only is Isaacson interested in keeping his loyal fan base but his goal is to get some fresh faces in Forest Park as well.  And for him, well, it’s a whole new world. That`s also the refrain from Disney`s Aladdin which will hit the Muny stage before it ever plays broadway. Isaacson expects audiences will like what they see and hear.

St. Louis has a class act in Mike Isaacson. See for yourself. Meet him at the Muny; The Muny in Forest Park.
