Police Arrest Suspect, From Shots Fire In North St. Louis

NORTH ST. LOUIS, MO. ( Louis Police and SWAT were called out late Monday morning to execute a search warrant at a home near Shreve and Lee in North St. Louis. When officers approached the home, shots were fired from the home at officers, who returned fire.  Officers and SWAT members settled into a stand off, after learning that there may be a woman and small child in the home.

Shortly before 12:30 pm, officers were able to arrest the suspect without incident or injury to the suspect, officers, woman and child.  After the suspects arrest, both the woman and child were taken from the home.

SWAT has executed over a 1000 search warrants since 2006. Narcotics detectives have now taken over the case for further investigation.
