The Red Cross and Salvation Army are gearing up to send help and supplies to both Illinois and Missouri to help clean up storm damage.

The St. Louis Red Cross chapter is providing assistance in Southern Illinois. Red Cross help from the Branson area comes from another office. Meanwhile the Salvation Army is providing emergency food centers in tornado-affected areas of both states. Getting full assistance up and running may take a while.

"We haven't started mobile feeding because we just can't get to where we need to go yet.  The authorities have the area cordoned off because they're still doing what they need to do, they don't want us in their way and we don't want to get in their way." said Mary Anderson of the red cross, st. Louis region

Fox 2 will be raising money for Salvation Army relief efforts on the air between 6pm & 7pm on Wednesday.
