I like Rick Santorum.  I have met him several times and he is honest and engaging.

There are many things I disagree with him about, but I believe he is a man of principle.  I also believe that is why he was doing so well in his campaign to be the republican presidential nominee.

Notice I said was doing so well.

At the Arizona debate this week Rick Santorum lost the nomination.  Next week he will lose the Arizona and Michigan primaries to Mitt Romney.

Ironically it is his honesty that did him in - when he admitted he is not always guided by principle

It was in an answer to an audience member question about no child left behind, an unpopular federal education mandate pushed by President George W. Bush

Did you hear that? That was the audience booing Santorum for not standing up for his principles.  And that`s when he lost the nomination.

The team sport philosophy is why nothing gets done in this country. The teams shouldn`t be democrat and republican. It should be one team "America".

Again, you have to at least admire Santorum for being honest.  Even though it cost him the race.

As I have said for the past year, Mitt Romney will be the republican nominee. But it won`t come easy.  The conservatives are still looking for alternative. Watch for Newt to rise again in one of the most bizarre races in history
