East St. Louis Assistant Track Coach Charged With Sexual Abuse

An East St. Louis Senior High School assistant track coach accused of having an improper relationshiop with a teenager has now been charged with criminal sexual abuse.

Police say the most recent sexual contact between 33-year-old Earlest Johnson and the 16 year old male victim took place January 29, 2012 at Johnson's home.

Johnson was suspended last week after school officials learned about the police investigation.

Though charges have been filed, Johnson is not in custody at this point.
