Security Guard Shoots Suspect At MetroLink Station In Pagedale

Police are investigating after a shooting involving a security guard at the Rock Road MetroLink Station in Pagedale.

Police say a Metro security guard witnessed an argument between two people down by the bus stop at the MetroLink station.

County police say the Metro security guard tried to intervene, the suspect eventually moved toward the train, pulled a gun, and in response the guard fired.

Police say they don't know if the suspect fired his weapon.

Witnesses say the suspect was shot four times in his leg. No word on his condition.

The security guard is a contractor for Metro. He works for a private security firm, which Metro uses.

The station was shut down for about an hour and a half during the investigation.

Police say right now it appears the guard acted properly, his shots could have saved others.
