Family, Friends Say Goodbye to Jerry Clinton

One of St. Louis' greatest philanthropists and businessman was laid to rest Tuesday. The funeral for Jerry Clinton will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica.  The 74 year old died of liver cancer last week.

After the service, the procession will head back south on Kingshighway to Chippewa. From Chippewa, it will hit McKenzie to the cemetery.

Clinton grew up in south St. Louis and worked his way to the top.  At one point, he owned Grey Eagle Beer Distributing. Clinton started the Guns 'N Hoses boxing benefit which has raised millions for Backstoppers.

Clinton, a race car enthusiast, was also instrumental in bringing the Rams to St. Louis.
