Cardinals Meet With President About World Series Win

The Cardinals left their nest at Busch Stadium to take up roost at the White House on Tuesday. Both the president and first lady congratulated the Cardinals for their World Series Championship.

The President and Mrs. Obama praised the team for their efforts on and off the field. Mrs. Obama said she usualy doesn't attend these type of events with her husband. But she said she had to be at this one to say congratulations to the cardinals and to say thank you.

The Obamas also thanked the Cardinals for visiting Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington Tuesday morning to visit with wounded military members and their families.
