It was a wild morning at a South County apartment building when part of the roof fell in.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Lakeshire Apartments in Affton.

Emergency crews and the Red Cross were called to a building along Puttington.

Four workers repairing the roof got a shock when it suddenly collapsed. They were able to escape from the roof without injury, so did five tenants inside when it happened.

There are now at least 10 people are looking for a new place to live until the St. Louis County Public Works Department opens the property for repairs and families can move back home.
