A warmer, south wind is taking hold of the St. Louis area. Temperatures have actually been warming all Saturday evening. By the time some precipitation develops late Sunday morning and early afternoon, most of the region will be in the low to mid 40°s. That means a chilly rain on Sunday. There could be a few spot well north of metro St. Louis that see some spotty freezing rain or a rain/snow mix at the onset.

As a cold front moves through, I expect the rain showers to increase in intensity as the precipitation moves off to the southeast.  All rain exits Sunday night and we’ll see decreasing clouds into Monday morning.  –Angela Hutti @AngWxGrl
