Occasional thunderstorms stay in the forecast as we head into this holiday weekend with several rounds of rain likely. The first of those rounds starts this afternoon and continues through the evening with scattered t’storms across the western half. Scattered showers/t’storms remain in the forecast tomorrow, especially during the afternoon period. A slightly drier period looks to set up for Saturday night through much of Sunday. A more widespread rain looks to develop just in time for Labor Day, with widespread showers/t’storms by late Sunday night- Monday. At this time no severe weather is anticipated, but still some strong t’storms could develop with heavy downpours and frequent lightning. Happy Labor Day weekend to you all! Enjoy the dry times, but be prepared to run indoors during the stormy periods.
