A strong cold front continues to advance towards the bi-state, bringing widespread precipitation and eventual colder temps.  The wet conditions unfold through the overnight period tonight with widespread rain likely well after midnight and continuing through Sunday morning.  Far northern counties near I-72 may see brief snow mix late tonight before becoming all rain.  Scattered rain showers are the main source of wet weather tomorrow before the colder air moves in tomorrow evening.  Rain totals of 0.50-0.75″ are expected.  As temps drop late in the day, we gain a shot at light snow for tomorrow night with mainly minor accumulations across the STL area.

Areas along I-70 are looking at around 1″ of snow with just a dusting for the southern half of the FOX 2 viewing area.  Portions just north of I-70 are in the 1-2″ range.  Far northern counties like Greene and Pike have the best shot of accumulation with up to 3″ or more.  If you’re hoping for a big snow event, this doesn’t appear to be the one for St. Louis.

Stay tuned to FOX 2 News for the latest updates, and have a great Super Bowl Sunday!
