Multimedia Producer

KTVI-KPLR in St. Louis, Mo. has an immediate opening for a Multimedia Producer. We are looking for a creative, visionary producer who knows how to craft a great rundown but isn’t married to it. The winning candidate is enthusiastic and willing to make last minute changes. Equally important is how this producer performs in the booth. We are looking for someone who makes decisions quickly and calmly.

We are also looking for someone who can maximize all of our live pictures, whether they be from our helicopter, fixed cameras, live remotes or news feeds from around the country & world.

In addition to the standard duties of producers in the industry (write, gather information, select stories, decide order and treatment of stories ), the producers of the KTVI-KPLR News Team are responsible for developing an overall style and identity for their assigned newscast with a keen focus on building the stations brand, “ Live, Local, and Late Breaking “

Account Executive

KTVI / KPLR-TV has an immediate opening for a new business developmental Account Executive. Candidate will be responsible for developing new business for KTVI / KPLR-TV. In addition, candidate will provide outstanding customer service and form new relationships with clients. Candidate must possess self-motivation skills along with a proven track record of success. Must be able to work under pressure, be extremely organized and maintain a team spirit. Cold calling and prospecting is required, as this is commission based compensation.

Minimum Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with TV Scan, Scarborough and Broadcasting Traffic System
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office ( Excel, Word, Powerpoint )
  • Creativity, strong written / oral communication skills are required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Education / Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree and two+ years’ experience in outside sales.

Creative Services Manager

ROLE: Cultivate brand messages, for both stations, across all media. Originate and execute creative excellence under tight deadlines. Develop strategies that produce measurable results. Manage and coordinate promotion department daily functions, based on established goals.


  • Oversee staff of producers/editors/graphic artists regarding on-air promotion planning, production, and delivery of deadlines.
  • Possess strong leadership skills with ability to communicate procedural/workflow changes to staff. Work with VP/News Director and news producers sharply focusing on station news brands.
  • Prioritize and implement marketing plans, allowing ample time for script and cut approvals.
  • Properly manage overall workflow.
  • Determine inventory scheduling strategy.
  • Oversee quality control of all final spots, maintaining integrity of on-air brands.


  • A 4-year Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years in broadcast promotion/marketing and/or related experience managing a creative team.
  • Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro 7 (and FCP 10 in the future.)
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Supervise and train staff with strong organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history required


  • Directly manage 3 producers, 4 editor/photographers, and indirectly supervise 4 graphic artists.
