Firefighters pull puppy from six-inch drain pipe

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO – Maryland Heights firefighters rescued a puppy that fell approximately 10 feet down a six-inch drain pipe Thursday night.

The firefighters used a 12-foot pike pole, a tool traditionally used for pulling ceilings down, to retrieve the puppy.

The puppy had no injuries and was excited to be reunited with its owner.
