NAACP to host meeting on Ladue H.S. racial problems Wednesday night

LADUE, MO (KPLR) – A town hall meeting over racial tensions within the Ladue school system began at 6:30 pm Wednesday night at the Ethical Society on Clayton Road. It was organized by the NAACP in an effort to improve race relations among students. The public airing of student and staff experiences comes on the heels of several days of student protests. Incidents of racial and derogatory slurs along with an assault against an African-American sophomore prompted students to walk out of class last week.

17% of the students served by a Ladue schools are African-American and most of them live within the district.
