Kirkwood church passes out Thanksgiving dinners to those in need

KIRKWOOD, MO (KPLR) - Struggling families will have a homemade Thanksgiving meal thanks to a church in Kirkwood.  Concordia Lutheran Church handed out 1,000 un-cooked packaged dinners Sunday.

They included frozen turkey, stuffing, green beans, gravy and potatoes.

The outreach project is more than about addressing hunger in the community, organizers say they hope to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to those in need.
