Missouri Humane Society takes in dogs from Texas facility

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – A hundred puppies and dogs rescued from an overcrowded Texas facility arrived in St. Louis Tuesday.

Six team members from the Missouri Humane Society’s Animal Cruelty Task Force made the 1,600-mile roundtrip with the help of PetSmart Charities.

The dogs range in age from two months to adults and consist of many different breeds.

Each dog will receive a veterinary exam, necessary vaccinations and medical treatment, spay or neuter surgery, and a microchip.

The dogs should be available for adoption within the next week.
