Last week, we were saddened by the news of a distemper outbreak at Stray Rescue of St. Louis, which led to the deaths of nearly 20 dogs. The shelter had to be temporarily shut down, putting a big financial burden on the organization. Fortunately, one of Stray Rescue’s business neighbors has stepped in to help.
Stephen Hale from Schlafy Beer visited KPLR 11 News at Noon to discuss a new fundraising venture involving beer and biscuits.
Schlafy has made Oatmeal Stout Beer Biscuits for dogs and they’re donating 100% of the proceeds back to Stray Rescue. The goal is to raise $5,000 towards the shelter’s goal of $100,000.
