Family of missing Berkeley woman worried over her disappearance

BERKELEY, MO (KPLR) - Twenty-five-year-old Monica Sykes has been missing for 10 days.  There's been no activity on her cell phone since the morning of her disappearance.

She was last seen on October 28, and her family is fearing the worst.

She lived at home with her sister and 6-year-old nephew.  The nephew saw her leave the house early in the morning and get in a white car with her boyfriend.

The home alarm showed the front door was opened just after 7 am.

Her sister says she left her purse behind.

Police have questioned the boyfriend, but at this time they are not calling him a suspect.

They do suspect some foul play may be involved.

Her family calls this totally out of character and are frantic.

Monica had just started a new job at a restaurant and was scheduled to work the day she went missing.

The family is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who has information about her whereabouts.
