Four Syrian refugee teens beaten in St. Louis Tuesday

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – Several teenage Syrian refugees were beaten Tuesday evening. Police say that four male teens ranging from 13-15 years old were beaten in the 1100 block of Hodiamont at around 7pm.

Investigators say that the Syrian teens were approached by four unknown suspects who indicated that they wanted a fight. The suspects then began to punch and kick the victims. They fled the scene.

EMS responded to the scene. The Syrian teens sustained minor injuries. A 14-year-old complained about leg pain and was taken to the hospital.

St. Louis Police say that theree are no descriptions of the suspects because of a language barrier. A police report identifies the victims as Syrian refugees.
