CHICAGO, IL (KPLR) – The Cleveland Indians just one win away from capturing their first world series since 1948.  For the Chicago Cubs it’s their first world series since 1945 are trying to keep hope alive of winning their first title since 1908.

There’s a lot of excitement, anticipation and even some angst for Cubs fans here in Chicago as we head into Game 5 of the World Series, the last game to be held in Wrigley.  The Cubs have lost both games here at Wrigley the last two nights.  It’s not the situation Cubs fans want to be in tonight, but that is seemingly not effecting the celebratory mood around the stadium.

Fans are still filling the streets around Wrigley snatching up Cubs World Series gear.  If the Cubs win tonight, the series heads back to Cleveland, but it could also be the final game of the World Series if Cleveland wins, and that would be the worst possible outcome for Cubs fans.  This is a must win game for the Chicago Cubs and the fans who have waited generations for this historic World Series are keeping hope alive that the Cubs will deliver.

While it’s a must win game for the Chicago Cubs tonight at Wrigley, you gotta give some props to Cleveland Indians fans as they are just one win away from their first World Series championship since 1948.
