CLAYTON, MO (KPLR) - A groom called in an elephant to help celebrate his traditional Indian wedding Saturday at the Ritz Carlton in Clayton.

Not only did it catch the wedding party's attention, but also people walking by.

People stopped and held their breath watching the groom climb the wobbly ladder to his seat on top of the elephant.

In Indian culture, elephants are considered to be sacred and symbolize good luck and prosperity.
