Fans enjoy Game 1 of 2016 World Series at Ryder’s Tavern

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – While Cubs fans are rivals when they are playing the Cardinals there are still a lot of them in St. Louis and during the World Series they are looking for a spot to rally together.

Ryder's Tavern in south St. Louis is not a big sports bar. They usually don’t even have a TV in the bar but for the Cubs vs Indians world series they brought in a big screen.

Last year Ryder's started showing the Cubs vs Cardinals series during the playoffs.

That’s when the owner and his friends realized that Cubs fans in St. Louis were looking for a little spot in the city to cheer on their team.

They started a facebook group to let St. Louis Cubs fans know that Ryder's is a safe haven for them.

Cubs fans in St. Louis have spent a lot of years watching the Cardinals play in these world series situations, and now that it is the Cubs they are excited to have a place to cheer them on.
