ELLISVILLE, MO (KPLR) – 38 teams of firefighters and police officers squared off to raise money for Officer Mike Flamion Sunday. The event, Hits for Heroes is an all-day softball tournament in Ellisville.
Officials with Ellisville and Pond Athletic Associations hosted the fundraiser.
Organizers hoped to raise $10,000, but say they already surpassed that amount.
Officer Flamion was paralyzed July 8th when he was shot in the neck after a routine traffic stop.
