Circuit attorney’s office opposes change of venue in Stockley case
(KPLR) – The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office is opposing a change of venue for former St. Louis police officer Jason Stockley’s murder case.
Stockley is charged with killing Anthony Lamar Smith during a police chase in December of 2011.
Stockley claims Smith pointed a gun at him.
His attorneys claim that a change is needed after the release of a dash cam video to the media and that it could affect proceedings in the city.
