Law enforcement officers heading out help those in need from Hurricane Matthew

coast-guard(KPLR) – Relief is on the way to areas hardest hit by Hurricane Matthew from the St. Louis Metro Area.

A group of about 16 US Coast Guard reservists from the region took off Saturday hauling a trailer full of construction equipment and roofing supplies.

One is a St. Louis County Police Officer, Officer Schlueter and the other, a new deputy with the Montgomery County Sherriff’s Department. Deputy Levinson was called away before his first day on the job.
