The Pulse of St. Louis: New study on Autism targets grandmothers

(KPLR) – Research shows one in 68 children mainly boys are diagnosed with autism, disorders of brain development that impact communication and social interaction. Doctors at Washington University School of Medicine are taking a unique approach to studying the condition. They are recruiting 500 grandmothers to participate in a study to try to get answers to tough questions about autism. Tonight on The Pulse of St. Louis, we will learn more about autism and a major art project at Better Family Life that tells the story of African Americans in America.
