Woman shot in the neck near St. Louis Science Center
ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – A woman in her 40s was shot in the neck Thursday evening while driving near the St. Louis Science Center in south city.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the woman was driving near Kingshighway and Oakland around 7:45 p.m. when her driver’s side window was shattered. She felt a pain in her neck and realized she was shot and came to a stop near the Science Center.
The woman was taken to a hospital and said to be in serious condition.
Investigators said the incident did not affect nearby activities at St. Louis University High School.
