CLAYTON, MO (KPLR) – The St. Louis County Police Department has cancelled an endangered person advisory for a missing toddler after the child was found safe Friday morning.

According to police, two-year-old Deantre Diamond went missing August 25 around 8 a.m. in the 10000 block of Castle Drive. The boy’s grandparents, 38-year-old Deandre Trotter and 35-year-old Kiana Moore, took Diamond from his home without his mother’s permission. Moore was supposed to return the child on August 28 but never did.

Trotter and Moore were believed to be living out of their vehicle, a dark-colored Chevy Suburban with temporary tags.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the child was found safe but did not elaborate further. It is unclear if Trotter or Moore were located and taken into custody.
