COLUMBIA, MO (KTVI) – A member of the University of Missouri’s gymnastics team was suspended after being arrested earlier in the week for credit card fraud.

Our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported campus police arrested 19-year-old Morgan Porter on Tuesday evening for an incident said to have occurred June 8 off-campus.

Porter, a Ritenour High School grad, is accused of using a fraudulent credit/debit card to spend more than $500. The police report did not indicate where Porter spent the money or what she purchased.

She was charged with fraudulent use of a credit device for over $500 and later bonded out of Boone County Jail.

University policy states athletes charged with a felony are immediately suspended from practice and competition and may not receive any financial aid for the duration of the charges.
