FERGUSON, MO (KPLR) - On Wednesday the National Bar Association hosted the first 'Mothers of the Movement' town hall at Greater St. Mark Church in Ferguson. The mothers of Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin and Oscar Grant along with other mothers who lost their children and made national headlines told their stories. Organizers say the point of the meeting is to turn their tragedies into triumph and to become the voice of change for families across the country.

The mothers will also be speaking at the Democratic National Convention next week in Philadelphia. Council members from the city of Ferguson also spoke to the group about new changes at their police department.
