BALLWIN, MO (KPLR) - Ballwin police chief Kevin Scott sat down with Fox 2's Mandy Murphey one on one to talk about the prognosis of his police officer who was shot in the line of duty on July 8th.  Officer Mike Flamion is now paralyzed from the neck down.  The bullet entered his neck and severed his spinal cord.  The Chief says he is alert and beams when his fellow officers come into his hospital room.  Chief Scott's main focus is supporting Officer Flamion and his family.  He wants people to understand this is a long term event.  He describes Flamion as a man who lived and breathed the job of a police officer.
